See photos below from the March 19 held at The International School of Minnesota. The first section of photos is the activity StarPower, which took place in the gym. StarPower is a non-computerized, simulation game where participants have the opportunity to progress from one level of society to another by acquiring wealth. Once the society is established, the group with the most wealth is given the right to make the rules for the game. This is a thought provoking experience for most players and gives them a chance to think about the use and abuse of power in society. The most unique feature of StarPower is the strength of the impression it makes on the participants. Players of StarPower may get a sense of what the characters in The Hunger Games experienced.
